v Newport

So, if I am understanding correctly, should the match go ahead on Monday (which seems doubtful given that the last match was cancelled and players, backroom staff etc. will still be isolating), then it will take place behind closed doors with no spectators allowed?

So, you are not allowed to watch the match in the open air whilst maintaining social distance, but you are allowed to watch rugby on TV inside in a crowded pub or Club? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense!

How long are the matches going to be played with no spectators? So, the Club will be expected to continue paying the players, but there will be no income from gate receipts etc.?

Not everyone will agree, but surely, the WRU would be better off suspending all matches below the URC until it is deemed safe to once again to play the matches with spectators?

Agreed. Can't see any matches being on to be honest, would nt have been able to go anyway so might have a chance if it's rescheduled.

With Dripfeeds rules it would appear if the club was open everyone would be allowed in the bar to buy a pint and watch the game on S4C as long as they don't look out of the window.

You can also likely go for a walk around the ground or a nice sit down where the cricket boundary is.

Ridiculous.

Worst of both worlds for clubs - all the costs and expense of paying but none of the revenue from it.

Scotland is fairly insane but has a 500 person limit meaning lower level sport can still continue. Its only Wales that have literally blocked all sport crowds at all levels.

Apparently, Drakeford has relented slightly now and 50 (yes, you read that correctly) spectators are allowed in to watch live sport.

Good luck deciding on which 50 spectators are allowed in! You would certainly not like to be the 51st!

Sadly, but sensibly, all premiership matches have now been postponed. I mean..... How on earth was the club going to decide who the other 49 supporters they were to let through their gate to see the match ???!!!......................

Was thinking you could book a 5 min time slot for £1 and go on a rota system!

Suspect this could be it for the season given the way Drakeford is going in Wales....
