6 Nations

Post by Graham »

Anyone actually interested in the fortunes of the Welsh team this year?

I'm finding it harder every year to actually give a moneys about them.

When we used to have Ebbw Vale players playing for Wales (I mean actually playing for Ebbw Vale and not used to play for Ebbw Vale, but now play for one of these plastic regional entities) it used to be easier because we actually had someone to watch. You are right, every year I feel more and more divorced from the actual team, it is only my patriotism and the desire to hammer England to smithereens that keeps my interest.

Couldn't agree more with both the above posts.

Same. I used to be interested while the rugby system in Wales allowed all clubs to contribute and be involved. It doesn't now. That game is completely divorced from the one i see and i have no interest in watching someone elses game.

Well in my opinion it is:

6 nations
5 overhyped games
4 winners (WRU, Under Armour, touts, cardiff pubs)
3 possible victors (France, Ireland, England)
2 Crap commentators (Moore and Butler)
1 Overpriced Stadium (minellium)
0 interest from me!!!

I will be wanting Wales to win tonight. Does it mean as much as it once did? No definately not. Reason for this? Read all the posts above.
Are we on our own here? Doubt it very much. :(

Blues away! After both this afternoons performances from Italy and Scotland I'd put a pound on Wales getting the wooden spoon!
What's that coming over the hill, is it my daddy?

Nice to see that international quality referees are every bit as bad as the rubbish we have to suffer week in week out!

Do you think fans of teams from the lower leagues used to feel this way when Ebbw Vale had players in the squad?
