Re: National Cup v Bridgend
What is the criteria for rearranged cup games ? It once was that the home side had to rearrange within ten days .Heard last night though that Bridgend won't be able to rearrange during league fixture weekends ( if you see what I mean ) which would then mean that the cup game would have to be rearranged for a Tuesday or a Wednesday, which is a real pain.Any ideas people ?

Used to be that the cup took priority over league fixtures for rearrangements. Unsure if this is still the case.

Abandoned Matches Postponed or Abandoned Matches
(a) Postponed Matches: Postponed Matches
Postponed matches must be played any time midweek or on a non-League weekend at least
seven (7) days prior to the next scheduled Round of the Competition. The match will be
played either at the original venue or at a venue and time acceptable to both Clubs.
(b) Abandoned Matches: All matches must be played to fu Abandoned Matches ll time. The Referee is to be the sole
judge of the amount of time played. If a match is abandoned before full time it must be
replayed within 10 days either at the original venue or at a venue and time determined by
the Home Club unless both Clubs agree t both Clubs agree t both Clubs agree the score, at the time of the aban he score, at the time of the abandonment, he score, at the time of the abandonment, should donment, should
stand. The WRU has the discretion to extend the 10 stand. day period in the event of exceptional
circumstances.
(c) Rearranged Matches: Participating Clubs are entitled to rearrange matches that are either
postponed or abandoned. However, if after two attempts both Clubs are unable to
rearrange the match, the Regulatory Committee has the absolute discretion to determine
the venue at which the rearranged match will be staged. Here s the rules fresh from the WRU website re national cup rules. Quite a lot of our support will be forced to miss the re arranged fixture. Grrrrr. Not only that could be a quick turn around to play Newport.

We play Bridgend away in the league on the 17th - is there any precedent for a winner takes all combined league & cup game ?
