I thought it would be nice to offer some awareness information with the forum readers / members relating to the above titled scheme.
The First Responder scheme of Ebbw Vale (and surrounding areas) consists of a number of Welsh Ambulance Service trained volunteers who support the Ambulance Service and are trained to carry out emergency life support in situations such as cardiac arrest with the use of a defibrillator and oxygen therapy.
We respond along with the ambulance service to meet target times of several minutes, to provide care to the casualty until an ambulance crew arrives. We provide cover and support to the towns of Ebbw Vale, Tredegar, Brynmawr, Abertillery, Blaina and Nantyglo.
The Scheme was re-started last year by Jayne Wybrow and Marc Parker - the scheme’s Coordinators who have both worked hard to establish the scheme and gone a long way to gain the support and respect of many of the Ambulance staff. They have now been joined by a number of additional volunteers who hope to support and carry on the good work.

To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty.. ..To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
