Supporters Club Awards

Post by Wally »

Its coming to that time of the season when the supporters club will be carrying out it poll to determine the award winners.

This season, the who squad deserve an award for the way in which the seaon has gone.

Its going to be very difficult to pick a player of the season.

You definitely win the "most photographed supporter" award fella. 8)

Seriously though, when will we be getting the voting slips? As you say, it is a tough one this season.

Voting forms should be received by Supporters Club members very soon.

The award winners will be announced after the Llanelli game (looks like a midweek fixture)

The Supporters Club end end of season do will be held in the club on Friday 18th May.

The 3 awards are:

Player Of The Year

Most Promising Player

Clubman of the Year. (just a reminder, this can be anyone associated with the club. It doesn't have to be a player, it could be coach, one of the backroom staff, a supporter etc etc. Anyone you think has given a contribution to the club over the season(s).

Graham, they aren't being posted this year- Milo will have them at the table with the programmes (I think)

Okey dokey ta!

I hate to ask this, but isn't it a little unfair on those members who can't be at the match to cast their votes?

I agree but then I'm not the one organising it, you'll have to take that up with Milo.

No worries, I'm sure there are very good logistical reasons for it being done this way.

Greetings all, sorry for not replying to this sooner but been a bit busy job hunting and what not!! I dont get on line as much as I use to either (Blame Catrin!!).

To answer your question regarding the distribution of voting forms, last year we spent a great deal of time and money copying and posting the forms out to our members. I only recieved 1 lot of forms through in the post and on voting day I had loads of people coming up to me saying that they'd forgotten to bring the slips so could they have another set. In the end I ended out dishing out twice as many forms and was rushing backing and for the office trying to photocopy more!! So to save a bit of ££ and running about I printed them out in one big blast and dished them out against the members list. This is unfortunate that if someone (god knows why :P ) missed the last home game of the season they would have missed out on the chance to vote. I can only apologise if this happened but hope you can understand the reasoning.

On the other hand, if anyone ever has any sugestions regarding this sort of issue then myself or my committee are always around and open to any suggestions.....unless they are inpropper!!!!! LOL
