The "Unofficial" End Of Season Awards

Post by Milo »

This ones going to be for a bit of fun in the programme (not the serious ones which we will do on the last home game)

For a bit of end of season laugh I want to hear some of your unofficial end of season awards. Send me a private message or email to iainswanson@aol.com with some nominations (so everyone doesnt read it on here before the programme is out!!)

The type of thing i want for example is:

Best Burger of the year
Worst shirt/outfit of the year
Biggest blunder
Quote of the year
Worst pint of the year
daftest hair do of the year

etc etc etc!! Anything daft that you may think could be worth a shout really!
If there's any photo's then all the better but not essential!

You could spill the beans on your mates and get them in the last programme for this season.

This is not just limited to supporters, players and club staff are welcome to nominate something/someone!
I wont print who it was nominated by either so you wont be revealed!!

Okay, I'll kick it off then:

The award for "Best hospitality shown to a visiting club" goes to Steve Charles (Glamorgan Wanderers Kit Manager)

As do the following:

The “Anger management” award

The "I'm seeking help" award

The "Dark Alley" award

Oh yes, and the Nobel peace prize.

Before anyone else suggests it, I'd like to nominate myself for the "I need to get out more" award.

Also Milo should get an award for "Services to Guinness" and at least a special mention for his efforts in repopulating Gwent.

The "Sound of Silence" award has to go to Bedwas or Cross Keys for ...... well its obvious really isn't it?

They are the only grounds at which I've known a home team run out to a round of apathy from their own supporters, and felt the need to clap out of sympathy for the guys running out.
