The 5th September would have been Freddie Mercurys 60th birthday.

Indeed, but these are the days of our lives and I'm sure he'd be the first one to say the show must go on.

Coincidently...Alex has one vision for the team and that is to bring the hammer to fall on every opponent and not to feel as under pressure as he was last year. Let's hope we go headlong into the season as we have started and with a little playing the game and a small miracle we could be thanking god by christmas.
As Alex said at the end of last season, "you don't fool me, I want it all next season and it will be a hard life. There will be no hiding on the training field, no invisible men, anyone who doesn't want it will find themselves biting the dust."
Then before the season he got them together to say, "There can be only one...Captain Craig Cleaver, no one but you, the whole town of Ebbw wants somebody to love"
Craig greatfully accepted and after the Bridgend game said, "Now I'm here, don't stop me now, I'm having such a good time"
All we need to make the final breakthru is to get Flash (aka Simon Hunt) back on the field before he goes slightly mad (although this might have already occured).
Save me from the depths of last season, Heaven for everyone is the kind of magic we're all looking for!

Who want's to live forever?...Ebbw Vale RFC!
